Fixing Bowed Walls and Water Problems to Get a House on the Market
Keith’s team performed the featured job this past April with Keith as the supervisor. The home is located in Osawatomie, Kansas, and needed extensive basement waterproofing and foundation repair.
The team went in and excavated the South wall, approximately 23 feet, hauling away all the fatty clay soil that caused the problem in the first place.
After that, they installed 3 10″ ECP anchors with 1.5″ shafts 20ft from the home at a 10-15 degree angle. Once proper torque and depth were achieved, they lifted the house and pulled the wall back. They were able to recover the wall to plumb.
The exterior wall was ground down to clean surface, cracks were ground down inside the basement to remove the old repairs, and the wall cracks were then epoxied.
The exterior received a primer and a complete waterproofing membrane. New 4″ drain tile and window wells were installed. 3/4″ gravel was placed against the home to the top of the grade, and a final clean-up was done.
Because of the repairs performed, the house can go on the market next month with a transferable warranty. These types of repairs allow homeowners to preserve their investment in their homes. This type of work makes ECP proud and grateful to its Contractor Partners. Way to go, KC Waterproofing, Inc!
