Your Trusted Partner for Quality Helical Piles and Support Solutions

When it comes to foundation lifting and structural support, helical piles are one of the most versatile solutions available. Whether stabilizing a settling foundation, reinforcing a bowing basement wall, or providing reliable support for new construction on challenging soil, helical piles and tiebacks offer a robust and adaptable solution. With their unique screw-like design, these piles efficiently transfer load and provide long-lasting stability. And at the forefront of innovation and quality in helical manufacturing is Earth Contact Products (ECP)—a leading provider of helical systems engineered to meet a wide range of foundation needs.

Helical Piles
Technicians install helical piles by “drilling” them through the soil, shifting to stable load-bearing strata. After the installation has reached the specified depth and verified capacity, a steel foundation bracket is connected to the ECP helical pile and the building’s foundation. Helical piles can be installed inside or outside a building’s structure.
Earth Contact Products manufactures a wide variety of helical piles, ranging from a 70,000-pound load capacity up to 120,000 pounds with the TAF-350 Series 3 1/2″ Round pier.
Advantages of ECP-Manufactured Helical Piles
- They are easy to install, and the installation process produces little to no vibration.
- Steel helical piles offer known capacity by measuring torque during installation.
- They have immediate load transfer upon installation
- Technicians can install them in any weather conditions.
- Helical piles are installed with hydraulic equipment that is readily available and nonintrusive, allowing them to be installed almost anywhere. Installers don’t need to use large construction or excavation equipment to install helical piles, which means little to no disturbance to the job site.
- They are perfect for deep foundations, even in difficult-to-access areas like flood plains, swampy areas, and other challenging soil conditions.
- Steel helical piles are reusable and can be removed and used elsewhere, reducing waste.
Helical Torque Anchors
Helical piles work great at lifting and stabilizing settling foundations, but what if you have a new construction project and want to avoid the problems that helical piles fix? Your helical manufacturer, ECP, has a solution for that as well.

Before the start of foundation construction, contractors drill Earth Contact Products’ helical torque anchors down to a predetermined depth using hydraulics. The ECP Torque Anchor™ consists of a shaft fabricated from solid square steel bar or tubular steel. Welded to the shaft are one or more helical plates. Depending upon the application, the plates can vary from 6 to 16 inches in diameter and are 3/8 or 1/2 inches thick. Contractors install the torque anchors at intervals between the footing forms and tie them into the steel grid-work before pouring concrete.
ECP offers a variety of torque anchors with practical load limits ranging from 44,000 pounds to 200,000 pounds.
Advantages of Using ECP-Manufactured Helical Torque Anchors
The advantages of the helical piles carry over to the helical torque anchors — the ease of installation, immediate usability, and lack of needed heavy machinery included.
We engineer the helical torque anchor to specifically fulfill the needs of each particular foundation job site. In fact, each design requires specific information involving the structure and soil characteristics at the site. Therefore, each design involves geotechnical and engineering input. This ensures that the product you get from ECP is the right one for your project specifications.
Helical Tiebacks

Sometimes, what needs support isn’t the whole foundation, but rather a foundation wall — a retaining wall, or a seawall.
When soil or hydrostatic pressure begins causing a wall to bow or buckle, that wall needs immediate support — and once again, your helical manufacturer has you covered. ECP’s helical tiebacks offer a permanent solution; you can often install them in one day.
Technicians install the helical tiebacks extending at an angle from the foundation wall or retaining wall into the soil next to it to provide immediate support and straightening.
