Safety
In 2008, samples of steel rods from China were ordered by an American lab for quality testing. Out of the 222 samples tested, 133 failed the test resulting in a 60% fail rate. This pass-or-fail test can be the difference between life and death. If a piece of steel falters and breaks under a home, the consequences can be deadly. American-made steel is subject to strict quality standards and regulations. At ECP, we think you deserve the peace of mind knowing that the steel used in our products is high quality and will perform as we design and expect it to.
The Environment
At ECP, we believe that we have a commitment to the environment. Because of that, we proudly manufacture environmentally friendly helical anchors and foundations in our 100,000-sq. ft. 8-acre facility centrally located in Olathe, Kansas. By using American-made steel, we are making a choice to reduce the carbon footprint associated with our products. Buying American-made steel means that we use fewer non-renewable fuels to transport our products to their ultimate destination for use.
The Economy
When we purchase American-made steel, we are supporting American jobs and the American steel industry. The money we spend on this critical material goes back to our own local economies instead of into the coffers of a foreign country. Not only does this stimulate the American economy as a whole, but it also puts tax dollars back into our local communities, where many of our employees and their families live and go to school.
