This year, we are excited to celebrate the Project of the Year 2019 award, which was given to a remarkable partnership between SEMO Mudjacking & Piering and Atlas Piers of Atlanta.
The 2019 Award-Winning Project
This outstanding project involved constructing a stunning boardwalk that spanned a marshy swamp, demonstrating both creativity and engineering excellence. The teams faced significant challenges, including navigating through a rugged landscape populated with wildlife such as beavers, snakes, and even alligators. Despite these obstacles, the crews displayed incredible commitment and teamwork, completing the project in just four weeks.
Utilizing 902 of ECP’s Vertical Piles—the teams drilled into the earth to create a stable foundation for the boardwalk in the challenging marshy conditions. This innovative solution ensured the structure’s strength and durability, allowing it to withstand the environmental pressures typical of such locations.
